Category : Our Weekends

4 days in Melbourne

It was a short trip but it was sweet.

After 2,5 months moved from Melbourne, I went back to Melbourne to visit Jessica and took some engagement photos with Unikblue.

On Friday, I picked you up and was really exciting to see you after 1 month. When you showed up, it was a beautiful moment (it sounded cheesy but it’s true).

It was awkward at all… and conversation started to flow… Love it.

On Saturday, we did pretty good in the photo session… actually you did much better than me. You were so beautiful. Very nice poses. I actually impressed with your simplicity and easy going-ness when you did the photo. In the evening, though you were away, I was enjoying my time doing the wedding stuff ie: preparing invitation and cleaning the jars. I am satisfied that I can tick it off.

Sunday was the 1st time I presented about yesHEis.com (in English) to my own crowd in MPC. You were really supportive. I saw you when you sleep. You were very cute… I love it… I also enjoyed the dumpling dinner…

Monday … we squeezed 1 hour for lunch and it was really nice…

I love this trip… it was very productive. We both learn that though we are in LDR however we are blessed to be able to meet once a month. We also learn through R that our relationship compliments our life… Our relationship is the basic and support to do anything that God has prepared for both of us together and individually.

Thank you for the weekend.

This past weekend was so far the busiest weekend in 2013.

Morning: make up trial at Chadstone. I like the make up but hair do wasn’t flattering.. bingung!
Noon: Auntie’s Dumpling with Aldrick & Evans
Mid afternoon: Ocep, Bram & Wiwi’s bday at Point Cook
Late afternoon: hospital visit for Temmy & Mer
Evening: dinner for Aris’ farewell
Late evening: picking up jars

This weekend was a big wake up call for most people at church. What happened to Temmy shocked a lot of people and yes, they started to look at their diet. I’m really sad for Temmy… but we should believe that he will recover 100% and has no brain damage or else.

On the brighter end, my heart went boom boom boom when you sent me the picture of our wedding bands! How exciting!!!

Ookies, so we haven’t written anything in the last month. I guess it’s enough to show that we’ve been bogged down with wedding preparation.

Anyway, it’s H-166 and I’m so excited. I don’t want the days to go too quickly though. There are so many things to sort and decide in the next 165 days. Where to live in Sunny Coast, when to move to Sunny Coast, where to go for honeymoon, final list of who to invite, where will the family stay, where to bring them, where to buy flowers, cake tastings, invitation design, dance classes, songs selection, engagement photo shoot, reception opening video, and ultimately my visa. So many things to do but yes I’m grateful that I do it with you and very grateful that we can do it with friends who support us greatly <3

Cekrek Cekrek Cekrek

I love these photossss…. we should do it more often…

La Premiere, Batman, Nandos, Japanese Pasta

Last week was a really full and enjoyable weekend. For the 1st time I (we) went to watch Dark Knight Rises in La Premiere. Very comfortable and I love the service.

For the last 2 weeks, we also had Japanese pasta and shopped in Aldi… Unfortunately, we ate can food… we have to back to healthy diet… and fresh food.

This week is very very busy week at work… exciting times though… however we managed to meet everyday.

And in this week, you are appointed as the very first service coordinator. Well done. I will support you in prayer and ready to listen your stories… Please always remain me if I comment to much … I will learn to Listen…

Love you…

Rainy Weekends

This weekends we went to Barkly Square to do groceries shopping and try Gumbo Kitchen and Dhaba Truck. It’s interesting… We went to suburb that we don’t usually go.

Then we went to Southland Westfield… to find Jess a pair of boots. Finally, Jess found a nice brown boots.

Today also the 1st of July… We’ve been together for 1 year and 6 months. Quite a journey

Queens Bday Long Weekend

This weekend is one of the coldest weekend ever. It is a really nice weekend. We went to Salmon and Trout fishing in Mt Dandenong together with your cell group and Evans and Daria. Thank God for church van. After fishing, I went filming in Regent Theatre, Plaza Ballroom. It was a treat from God. I never imagine that I will do a gig in Regent Theatre.

Then on Sunday, we went to Daylesford to enjoy a nice hot spring spa… We were so excited and went straight from church, even we had KFC on the way. A little surprise from the spa, it was busy and we can’t enter it. 2 hours drive and another 2 hours back… However it was paid off with a nice dinner with you and Melia in Chef Lagenda. Let’s prepare and BOOK for next 2 weeks.

Monday… Cold… Foggy… Freezing… It is our cooking, cleaning, and washing day. All we did today is cook, clean, sleep, cook again, clean again, cook again, sleep… Now we know how it feels as “Inem” or work as a maid in Indonesia. All they do is housework day by day and it is never ending. Also housewife… Yes, they don’t work professionally, however they have a big responsibility and activities.. I learn to appreciate them more.

Thank you for an enjoyable weekend. Though it is cold… But my weekend was warm as I have you in my life… Love you.

Lead 360, The Escape & Farewell

Our last 2 weekends were probably the most full-on weekends we ever had – or at least, I ever had.

Fri, 27 April: driving test & The Escape rehearsal
Praise the Lord I passed my test :) and even better, I got my full license without having a prove letter from the Consulate.
And that Parcel rehearsal… oh man, it was a long one but it was totally worth it. Had chance to meet Meike and hear the awesome vision she has for her new church in Perth, also got chance to know Hansen – have never talked with him previously. Parcel is a really great time to know more people. Awesome!

Sat, 28 April: Lead 360 at MECC
A day seminar/workshop with Rohan Dredge and it was great. I appreciate the time I had to think about myself & what it is that I actually want to do. I’m yet to discover fully and specifically what I want to achieve. Probably we can work together on this :) oh anyway, we’re not busy, we’re full! We know exactly that what we’re doing has a great purpose and for a greater vision.

Sun, 29 April: The Escape at Storey Hall
This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it! (Ps. 118:24). Looking back to the end of last year when we had our meeting with Ocep, Jos and K’Tom at that small coffee shop in Toroonga, I can only say that God is good. Everything that we’ve planned has come together and I’m amazed with the result of The Escape. Some things I learned from The Escape:
• Believe in the concept and impart your belief to the team
I heard some negative/unsupportive remarks about the concept & theme of this Parcel when we first started. Yet, I chose to have faith that this is what God wanted us to do and I tried to share this faith with Adhi & Val. By grace, The Escape turned out well.
• Small things matter
Probably Parcel is the ‘grandest’ and the most expensive investment that our church has. The amount of time, effort and money that we invested in Parcel make so grand. However in The Escape I learned that an event doesn’t need to be THAT HUGE to win over God’s heart. What important is our hearts and the small things we do day by day.
• Us – compromising vs. understanding
Remember how we had arguments about meeting on Tuesdays, discipleship on Tuesdays, etc.? Life is hard enough without us arguing about our dating times and I’m proud because we managed to overcome the last few months. I learned about compromising vs. understanding. Compromising is when we reluctantly agree on something we don’t like. Understanding, on the other hand, is agreeing on something we don’t like because we know exactly the ‘why’ of that thing. Probably more on this later.. hehe

Fri, 4 May: new people at cell
It’s so exciting to have new people at cell. My cell has a history of people jumping to other cells because they felt disconnection and people who left for good. God is good though, he sent 3 people to my cell last Friday. None of them coming to church on Sunday though.. should have a strategy to get them rooted in the cell. Lol

Sat, 5 May: Fafa’s housewarming, MPC Olympic, Dewi & Christy’s farewell
A super moving around day that reminded me how good it is to actually mingle with people. It enjoyed watching you playing basketball. Très cool!
That day we also had an Indo day: Nusantara for lunch and Nelayan for dinner. Super yummy!

Sun, 6 May: Christy’s testimony, I Do class and The Escape review
Christy’s testimony made me realize (or to be exact, remember) that what’s fulfilling for me is to see people grow and that they acknowledge it themselves. I’m really proud to see Christy standing on the stage, telling people of how God has worked wonderfully in her life when she gave away her ego and pride. Isn’t it what we all need to do? We’re most powerful when we make ourselves vulnerable in God. The feeling I had when listening to Christy & people’s feedback during Parcel review was very similar with the feeling I had last year at The Composer celebration night. I love listening to people acknowledging their achievements – something that we rarely do as Asians. Furthermore, to see someone accomplished new things and be proud of it is just fulfilling.
I’m glad we’re on the same page about this. I can’t wait for the more opportunities to build people and get them over the line (not stealing from Rohan here..)

Anyway, let’s move forward & pray more for our future :)
